David Fincher is apparently being lined up by Sony to direct an English language version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, with recent Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan as his leading lady.
According to New York Magazine, via Empire Online, the Seven and Fight Club helmer has impressed Sony bosses hugely with his currently-in-post-production flick, The Social Network, and they wanna stay in the Fincher business. Given the man's track record of quality filmmaking, it's extremely easy to see why.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo has, of course, already been made into a film in Sweden, and it was released here this past Friday.
