Fantastic Flix kicks off this weekend, ADIFF's programme of films for children and families. It runs from February 4th to 17th, and is great way to introduce kids to the magic of cinema.

The festival begins this Saturday morning with The Lego Batman Movie. The line-up also includes two Oscar nominated films. The Red Turtle is screening in Omniplex Rathmines on 10th February at 6.30pm, and the much buzzed about My Life As A Courgette is showing in the same cinema at 11.50am on February 17th.

Award-winning children's author Jacqueline Wilson will be attending the festival as a guest curator. She has chosen The Illustrated Mum (an adaptation of her own book), The Secret Garden and Mandy as her picks.

In addition to the films, there are several workshops taking place in The Ark including Lego animation and an introduction to sound design and foley.
