Production has temporarily halted on Blake Lively’s new film, The Rhythm Section.

The actress injured her hand while shooting an action sequence in Dublin, but the pause in filming should only be temporary.

A spokesperson from the production released this statement to The Hollywood Reporter: "Paramount, Global Road (formerly known as IM Global) and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli today confirmed that filming has been temporarily suspended on The Rhythm Section as Blake Lively sustained an injury to her hand while filming an action sequence. Production will resume as soon as possible."

The Rhythm Section follows Lively’s character as she seeks revenge against those who orchestrated a plane crash that killed her family. Jude Law co-stars in the spy thriller which is based on the first of Mark Burnell’s Stephanie Patrick novels and helmed by The Handmaid's Tale director Reed Morano.

Paramount, which is handling worldwide distribution, has dated the film for release on February 22nd 2019.
