Irish actor Michael Fassbender, and Alice In Wonderland star Mia Wasikowska are in talks for a brand spanking new version of Jayne Eyre. Fassbender is being lined up to play right moody bastard, Rochester, while Wasikowska (who was extremely impressive in Gabriel Byrne's HBO series In Treatment) is to play the titular Jayne. Cinematographer turned director, Cary Fukunaga, is talking the helm according to Variety. The book was last adapted for the big screen with William Hurt and Charlotte Gainsbourg in 1996, while there was a BBC miniseries in 2006.
