The highly anticipated third trailer for the 2014's remake/reboot of of 1987's RoboCop has just landed and we've got an exclusive sneak peak at it right here on entertainment,ie, 'cause we're nice like that.

Starring Joel Kinnaman as Alex Murphy/RoboCop himself, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish and the one and only Samuel L Jackson (can we expect lots of 'motherf*ckers' then?), RoboCop sees José Padilha at the helm.

From the director himself, next year's version of RoboCop goes a little something like this: "In the future with autonomous robots you can have a robot in the middle of the desert going after terrorists and you don't even know the robot is there and the robot is making its own decisions. And let's say this robot kills a kid, who is to blame? Is it the company that made the robot, is it the army that deployed the robot, the software handler or the manufacturer? Who is to blame? When you start making machines who make decisions over life and death, something fundamental changes…"

More fitting perhaps now than ever before, director Padilha seeks to answer vital questions about the human race's newfound dependency on technology and wonders where the line between humanity and technology can be drawn. Have we reached an age where we can no longer function without computers and machine?

While sure to make for a fun ride at the cinema, it'll also be interesting to see how Padilha and his cast handle the whole notion of technological determinism.

BRING IT ON!
