Last week I had the pleasure of catching up with not one but two of the stars of Rise Of The Guardians - only the best kids movie of 2012 - Isla Fisher and Chris Pine. Isla plays Tooth (the tooth fairy as you're more likely to remember her) while Chris Pine takes the lead as Jack Frost like you've never seen him before.

As for a little info on the movie:
Jack Frost (Chris Pine) is having fun causing snow days and starting snowball fights all over the world, but is having trouble dealing with the fact that no child actually believes he exists. This is not a problem that the Guardians have; as Santa (Alec Baldwin), the Tooth Fairy (Isla Fisher), the Easter Bunny (Hugh Jackman) and the silent Sandman are given power by the children’s belief in them. But it is this power that the Boogeyman (Jude Law) wants to steal for himself, so the Guardians enlist Jack Frost in an effort to combine forces and defeat the Boogeyman before he replaces all hope on Earth with fear.

Pine is currently touted as the quintessential leading Hollywood man, appearing in everything from this to Jack Ryan to his much acclaimed role as Captain Kirk on the rebooted Star Trek franchise. Between blockbusters you'll also find Pine starring in dramas such as People Like Us, and romcoms like This Means War with Tom Hardy and Reese Witherspoon. A very personable and affable kinda guy, Chris spoke to me about the challenges associated with his first animated experience, how much these characters meant to him as a kid, the pressure he's under to strike gold with the much anticipated second Star Trek and how it feels to be desribed as today's answer to Harrison Ford. He's also rather handsome, which, y'know, always helps. Lovely piercing blue eyes on him. Give Daniel Craig a run for his money so he would.

Then there was Isla. Wife to Sacha Baron Cohen and mother to two gorgeous little girlies, Isla is as sweet as they come. She's the warmest actress I've met so far. We chatted about the movie, how she thinks it might be a little too scary for her tots and what it's really like being married to The Dictator. She's also got some pretty amazing movies coming up, one of which features Sir Michael Caine who - given that she's such a fan - she was a little nervous around. Turns out these Hollywood folk are just like regular humans. Don't miss her in The Great Gatsby with Leonardo DiCaprio.

Rise Of The Guardians hits cinemas this coming Friday and as of Thursday morning, you can catch our Rise Of The Guardians Movie Show Special.
