Emma Stone has had a staggeringly successful year, and deservedly so. The talented actress headlined huge sleeper hit, The Help, and also appeared opposite Steve Carrell and Ryan Golsing in the very fun, Crazy, Stupid, Love. Even more noticeably, she's got boffo parts in the new Spiderman movie, as well as the talent heavy Gangster Squad coming soon - that she's shot in the past few months.
Now, according to Deadline, the 23 year old will star in the funny sounding flick, He’s Fu*kin’ Perfect. In an interesting inception, the script was penned by Anchorman writer/director Adam McKay's assistant, Lauryn Kahn. Will Ferrell and McKay read and loved it, helping Kahn develop the it, with the script ultimately selling for over a million dollars. The lead part, a "social media savvy girl who is pessimistic about love" was apparently written with Stone in mind, and when word got out to studios, a bidding war ensued with Fox ultimately winning it.
Kahn has just gone from earning $40,000 a year to becoming a millionaire. Expect this one to be fast tracked production wise; studio Fox will want to capitalise on Stone's current buzz. That means expect a director's name to become attached ASAP.
