So Emma Stone's hoping her character Gwen Stacy will be killed off at some point in the course of The Amazing Spiderman franchise. In an interview with Interview, the Crazy Stupid Love beauty revealed that what she'd like is for the movie to mirror Gwen's story as per the original comic book.

"[Fans ask] about whether or not the films are going to stay true to her story... Which I'm hoping they are. Essentially the argument is that Spider-Man kills her by accident. So the person she loves is the person who kills her, which is the most horrifying thing. Apparently people unsubscribed to the comic book when that happened because they were just so flipped-out over it... But, of course, I want to stay true to that."

Now I haven't read the 1973 #121 issue myself, but I believe it was at this point that Peter Parker's missus croaked, ten years after Spiderman's debut.

Will The Amazing Spiderman makers go so dark as to kill off its leading lady? Should they? Should it be Peter Parker who kills her (albeit accidentally)?

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have allegedly been asked to sign on for a full trilogy of the Marvel comic book adaptations.
