The jewel-encrusted gloves are off for Elton as he signs up for a fight scene in upcoming Matthew Vaughn film Secret Service, starring Colin Firth, Sir Michael Caine, and possible appearances from Ridley Scott and Mark Hamil. Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack O'Connell, John Boyega and Christian Cooke are also rumoured to be involved in the comic book adaptation. All we know for certain is, there is nothing more we want to see on this planet than Elton John bitch-slapping the divine Jesus out of some poor unequal... and we entitle them as such because next to Elton, everyone is a plebian without a cause. Elton is a piano man who packs a punch and thinks nothing of spending thousands on flowers per outing. You just cannot win against that, secret service agent or whatever his contender will be.
The Dave Gibbons comic book series will be brought to the screen in November 14, 2014 in the US, with a UK and Ireland release date yet to be announced. According to The Sun, the singer-songwriter will cameo in what has been called a huge fight scene. The style of attack Elton will choose for the scene is keeping us guessing with delight to no end...will it involve glitter in the face, a classic cartoonish piano-dropping from a ledge, a throw of the old wig (please, he now has hairplugs so it's not like he needs the old piece)? Let the Glitterati war commence.
