Ellen Page has signed on for a new adaption of the classic British novel Jane Eyre, where the Juno star will play the title role of Jane, a governess who wins the heart of her permanently pissed-off employer, only to then discover he’s hiding a horrible secret (crabs anyone?). One of the most adapted novels in the English language, ‘Eyre’ was most recently turned into a mini-series by the BBC that picked up a bunch of Emmy’s. While no director is yet attached, the script has been written and the producers are looking to start shooting in early autumn. We’ll watch anything with the supremely awesome and downright cute Page; even the shite Smart People.
