The Shrek Forever After premiere took place in Hollywood over the weekend, and at it the voice of Donkey, Eddie Murphy, apparently told Access Hollywood that there might be another Nutty Professor movie.

Murphy is coming off his worst series of flops in years, with the kiddie films Meet Dave and Imagine That bellyflopping at the box-office, while Norbit was seen to be so bad, it cost Murphy an Oscar for his lauded turn in Dreamgirls. The actor spewed: "We kind of wrote something that might be kind of funny. If the studios want to do it, we’ll do it. If you don’t see it, the studio was like, ‘This isn’t funny.'" How he then explains some of his choices over the years is beyond me.

The thing that kills me about Eddie Murphy is that he's a hugely talented comedian. He just appears in a lot of crap, because he thinks that's what the audience wants to see him in. There's no excuse for that; so now he's returning to successful franchises (including an in-development Beverly Hills Cop 4) to put some clams in the bank.
