The second trailer of the upcoming sci-fi movie arrives 10 months after our initial look at the Denis Villeneuve epic.

The all-star cast of 'Dune' each get their own moments to shine in this new-look and super long trailer from Warner Bros.

Oscar nominee Denis Villeneuve's ('Arrival') next big-screen adaptation is finally gearing up for its release. Initially expected to release in November of 2020, Warner decided to shift their entire movie slate until a later date (including 'Sopranos' prequel 'The Many Saints of Newark').

Based on Frank Herbert’s seminal bestseller of the same name, and influenced by the '80s movie directed by David Lynch, 'Dune' is the first part of a planned two-movie saga (although part 'II' has not yet been greenlit). It will tell the story of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) who is a brilliant and gifted young man "born into a great destiny beyond his understanding". When his family and the people of his planet become under threat, he'll have to travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe, where a conflict rages on.

Along with Chalamet, 'Dune' also stars Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Jason Mamoa, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and Javier Bardem. Stellan Skarsgård ('Chernobyl'), Stephen McKinley Henderson ('Lady Bird'), Chang Chen ('Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'), David Dastmalchian ('Blade Runner 2049'), Sharon Duncan-Brewster ('Sex Education'), and Charlotte Rampling ('45 Years') also stars.

'Dune' will have its world premiere on September 3 at the 78th Venice International Film Festival, followed by the Toronto Film Festival, after which it will be released in theatres for cinema-goers.

Here's the three minutes, 42-second 'Dune' trailer for the sprawling sci-fi adventure, with its Hans Zimmer score.

'Dune' is slated to be released in theatres beginning 15 September 2021.
