Phew!

You may recall how last weekend there was talk of Disney’s live-action Mulan remake not having any of the original animated movie's songs.

The rumour began after director Niki Caro told Moviefone: “From what I understand, [there are] no songs right now, much to the horror of my children.”

It sparked outrage on social media with several people on Facebook and Twitter expressing outrage and proclaiming they weren’t going to see the movie now.

Caro has since said to the LA Times: “I don’t know where that’s come from. We’ve never talked about songs, and no decision has been made.” While Caro, who said she hasn't even started work on the picture yet, described herself as 'getting trolled' from the social media outrage, she also said: "it is exciting that people are this passionate."

So people, relax, there may be songs, but nothing has been written in stone.

The soundtrack for Mulan – which includes the songs ‘Reflection,’ ‘I’ll Make a Man Out of You,’ ‘Honour To Us All’ and ‘A Girl Worth Fighting For’ – was a huge contributor to the animated movie’s success in 1998.

Moreover, both Disney remakes The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast kept in their respective original songs (though not all of them) and they have both been hugely successful.
