It was fun having such big names as Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey and Maya Rudolph visiting our shores. But that time has come to a close as 'Disenchanted' has officially concluded production in Ireland.

'Disenchanted' is the much anticipated sequel to 2007's 'Enchanted' and is set a decade after the fantasy flick's events.

The original movie saw an animated maiden named Giselle (Amy Adams) get transported to the real world of New York City.

She meets and falls in love with a lawyer named Robert Phillip (Patrick Dempsey), leaving her prince and animated life in Andalasia behind.

In the sequel, Giselle questions her happiness in this new life. As a result, she inadvertently turns the lives of those in the real world and Andalasia upside down.

Main cast members who also returned, and were spotted across Ireland during filming, included James Marsden and Idina Menzel.

New cast members to 'Disenchanted' include Maya Rudolph, Jayma Mays, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Oscar Nuñez, with Rudolph proving a highlight.

It was director Adam Shankman ('Hairspray') who revealed that they've finished filming.

Writing on Instagram, he shared a photo of him and Adams staring across a very Irish looking field.

He captioned it: "Myself and Giselle…errrr….@amyadams would just like to say: And that’s a wrap. #Disenchanted Coming to you in #2022"
