The more that comes out about Daniel Craig and his time as James Bond, the more we're starting to realise that it must have been bad on set.

Either that or Daniel Craig's a contrary fecker, as they say. According to leaked e-mails, both director Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig clashed with studio execs over which phone Bond would be seen using in the course of the film.

According to one report, Sony offered $18,000,000 for marketing and promotion for the film and personally offered Daniel Craig $5,000,000 to be seen using a Sony Xperia Z4 during the production. Samsung then upped their offer to $50,000,000.

However, Andrew Gumpert, President of Business Affairs and Administration for Columbia Pictures, wrote in an e-mail that "BEYOND the $$ factor, there is, as you may know, a CREATIVE factor whereby Sam and Daniel don't like the Sony phone for the film (the thinking, subjectively/objectively is that James Bond only uses the 'best,' and in their minds, the Sony phone is not the 'best'),".

As it turns out, Sony obviously offered more money because the Xperia Z5 is seen in the film and Naomie Harris filmed a commercial as Miss Moneypenny. It just goes to show how make-believe Bond is. He should use a Nokia 3310; that thing stops bullets.
