Dakota Fanning is negotiating to play Cheri Currie in The Runaways, which already has Twilight star Kristen Stewart attached to play famed crooner Joan Jett. Fanning is apparently also in line to play a sucker in upcoming Twilight sequel New Moon, with this film to start lensing straight after the highly anticipated follow-up wraps. Floria Sigismondi is writing and directing the film that will chronicle the most mental girl band of all time, who became embroiled in all kinds of drug and drink filled shenanigans in the 70's. Fanning is the same age as Currie when she started crooning at 15, whilst Stewart is a decidedly more legal 20.
