Russell Crowe has confirmed rumours that he will be playing both The Sheriff Of Nottingham and Robin Hood in Nottingham, when he spoke to MTV at a press junket for his latest Ridley Scott effort, Body Of Lies. He said: "It's one of those things where we're taking our time with. You don't want to be doing Robin Hood unless you're going to be doing it really f**king well. It's got to be the best one ever done otherwise you should do something else." No need to f**king curse, Russell. Anyhow, that's quite the turnaround, being that Christian Bale has been heavily linked with the role of Robin Hood since the project was announced. It was due to go into production in the next couple of months, but was put on the backburner when script problems arose. It's a hugely innovative way of tackling the legend, and if Scott and Crowe click again like we know they can, this could easily emulate the success of the critically lauded Gladiator. Then again, it could be A Good Year mundane. Time will tell...
