The Irish actor stars in visual artist Kogonada's second feature film, about a family who buy a second-hand android named Yang to take care of their young daughter.

However, Yang (Justin H. Min), who shares similarities to humans like feelings, emotions and memories, malfunctions. Farrell's character, Jake, is left trying to find parts to put Yang back together.

While trying to do this, Jake unearths memories from Yang, reconnecting with his family in the process of look through them.

'After Yang' has gotten some glowing reviews already when it featured at the Sundance Film Festival last week.

Brain Tallerico of Roger Ebert said, "So many visions of the future seem distant, but 'After Yang' hits home in how it centers connection and experience to which we can all relate. It’s a powerful, moving drama about what it means to be alive."

'After Yang' releases in US theatres and on Showtime March 4 . Unfortunately, there is no Irish release date yet but we'll keep our fingers crossed we get some information soon. This looks like a film not to be missed.
