'The Banshees of Inisherin' may not have triumphed at last night's Oscars, but the Irish gang still managed to feature in the ceremony in some way.

More specifically, Jenny the donkey from Martin McDonagh's film was brought out on stage by host Jimmy Kimmel at one point during the ceremony. (We're choosing to believe that it was really Jenny, and not her donkey stand-in.)

"Not only is Jenny an actor, she’s a certified emotional support donkey,” said Kimmel, as he led the animal out wearing a glitzy 'Emotional Support Animal' vest. "At least that’s what we told the airline to get her on the plane from Ireland."

Farrell, meanwhile - who attended with his son Henry - was clearly delighted to see his equine co-star once again and can be heard shouting 'Oh my god!'.

"Jenny, there's your friend Colin," said Kimmel, as Farrell blew her a kiss. "And there's your friend Brendan, whose finger you ate - you wanna say thank you for the finger?"
