In order to donate to an Irish charity in need, all you have to do it watch a short video. It's that simple.

Wide Eye Media, who are the company in charge of many of the advertising campaigns you usually see in 110 cinemas across the country, have partnered up with charity Alone in order to raise some much-needed funds for the elderly in Ireland.

The older community very often use the cinema as a way of getting together for a social gathering, and with cinemas closed over the past few months, Wide Eye Media will be donating to Alone - but they need your help to do so. All you have to do is watch a short video, and every time it is viewed a donation will be made.

So, here's how you can help donate to the charity - it'll take no more than five minutes. First, you need to head over to the newly-launched #CinemaTogether website (by clicking here) and scroll down to the interactive map. Next, select your local Irish cinema from the ones that are mapped out as red popcorn signs.

Then when a pop-up window appears, select "Play" and sit back and watch the moving trailer for Alone unfold, just like you would when you're at the cinema watching the trailers.

Once the video is finished, you'll be asked whether you want to also add a personal donation of your own. Simple.

Seán Moynihan, Alone CEO said: "We are very grateful to Wide Eye Media for their inclusion of ALONE while launching their new initiative #CinemaTogether. With many facing increasingly challenging circumstances due to COVID-19, which will continue into the weeks and months ahead, this assistance you are providing to us will secure our ability to work with older people during these unsettling times and into the future."

Be sure to pass along the incredible initiative to any friends and family members, and be sure to return again in the future to see more forthcoming movie trailers.

The #CinemaTogether website will be a valuable resource for those of us who can't wait to watch the latest blockbuster on the big screen. Information on when each cinema will be opening up, as well as what their safety protocols will be, are available for customers. Should you have any questions regarding cinemas and their social distancing protocols, you can email the team at [email protected], and any questions raised will be shared on the website.
