Christopher Nolan's on the promotional trail for Interstellar and, unsurprisingly, his comic-book work has been cropping up more than a few times.

According to a recent piece in The Guardian, Nolan discussed his work on Man of Steel as executive producer.

As you may or may not know, Warner Bros. are keen to follow in Marvel's footsteps by setting up a DC Comics cineverse, announcing a raft of films all the way up until 2020.

In fact, the studio even wanted to go one step forward and have a comedic post-credits scene ala Marvel films to lighten the mood in Man of Steel.

Nolan said that he didn't want the film to chase other films, and that it should stick to its own tone. Which is a nice way of saying, "We're not copying Marvel."

The director and his collaborators haven't always seen eye to eye with Marvel.

Back when Avengers Assemble was released, Nolan's cinematographer of choice, Wally Pfister, said that the Marvel film looked pretty crap and that none of the shots made sense.

Nolan is distancing himself further and further from comic-book movies with Interstellar, however he recently said that he wasn't totally against the idea of returning to comic-book movies.

What do you think? Do post-credits scene ruin a film? Or bad voice-dubbing, perhaps?
