Adam McKay's been quite vocal about the financial crisis, regularly taking to Twitter to speak his mind on the issue.
He also directed a short for the anthology film We The Economy and is keen to break away from comedy.
This will be McKay's first drama, and no doubt the pressure is on him to get it right.
Can he do it? We think so. We interviewed McKay when he was over for Anchorman 2 and he struck as a smart and competent director, so here's hoping.
