Shirley Temple, star of many a movie when she was a wee tot (The Little Princess, Fort Apache, Heidi etc), famed for her wide eyes and head of bouncing barrel curls, has died aged 85. Born on April 23rd in 1928, Shirley began her career at the age of 3, first coming to international prominence in Bright Eyes. While most will remember Shirley for her earliest roles, she went on, later in life to work as a U.S. ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia. Furthermore, she also served as Chief of Protocol of the United States from 1976-1977.
