It would have been Chadwick Boseman's 44th birthday yesterday. Thus Disney and a number of the actor's co-stars and friends paid tribute to him.

Chadwick Boseman passed away on August 28th after battling colon cancer.

He was best known for playing T'Challa in 'Black Panther'. Other credits included 'Da 5 Bloods', '21 Bridges', 'Get On Up', and the upcoming 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom'.

Marvel and Disney paid their respects to Boseman by adding a new opening credits sequence to 'Black Panther'.

The sequence can be seen at the start of the movie on Disney+ now.

Additionally, Chadwick's brother Kevin, Lupita Nyong'o, Mark Ruffalo, Viola Davis, Common, and Josh Gad marked the actor's birthday on social media.

'Black Panther 2' is set to begin filming for in Atlanta in July. Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett are all expected to return for it. The filmmakers have said they will not digitise Chadwick Boseman into the movie.
