The 'Breaking Bad' movie was rumoured for a long time before being confirmed earlier this year.
However, until now, there has been no concrete news on a filming schedule or when the Vince Gilligan-penned movie might debut. Stars Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston had teased fans with social media posts a few months ago, but it turned out to be for their new mezcal brand.
However, according to one of the show's stars, it's actually already been filmed.
Bob Odenkirk, who played Saul Goodman in the show and on spin-off 'Better Call Saul', told The Hollywood Reporter that filming on the film had indeed been completed. "I don't know what people know and don't know. I find it hard to believe you don't know it was shot," he said. "They did it. You know what I mean? How is that a secret? But it is. They've done an amazing job of keeping it a secret."
Reports suggest that the film was codenamed 'Greenbrier' and is set to debut on AMC and Netflix in 2020.
The reaction on social media has been a mixture of excitement and surprise...
