You'd think Beyonce would be counting her lucky stars that finally, we'd begin to consider her a real bonafide actress upon working with the one and only Clint Eastwood. You wouldn't think she'd drop out of such an opporunity; she has.

As per Variety, Jay-Z's missus will no longer star in the Clint Eastwood-directed remake of the 1937 original movie, A Star is Born. Apparently it was down to scheduling difficulties. Surely you could knock off a few gigs in the far reaches of the world for some screen time with Dirty Harry, no?

A Star is Born tells the story of a has-been rock star falls in love with a young, up-and-coming songstress. Barbara Streisand took on this role first in 1976, then it was to be Beyonce but now Eastwood is said to be keen on having Grammy award-winning jazz musician Esperanza Spalding take the lead in the Warner Bros flick. As for the male lead? Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, Christian Bale, Johnny Depp and Bradley Cooper have all been mentioned and apparently approached but as of yet, nothing is set in stone.

Bad move, Beyonce!
