Michael Keaton is the bringer of good news this week. In an interview with MTV News, the Robocop co-star is piling on the hints that he will return to play our favourite, eccentric exorcist ghost, Beetlejuice, in a sequel to the 1988 fan favourite.

And if that wasn't good news enough, Keaton is also speculating that Tim Burton is looking more likely to come back and direct the sequel. Cow-a-bunga.

"I've e-mailed Tim a couple of times, talked to the writer a couple of times, but all really, really preliminary stuff

"I always said that's the one thing I'd like to do again, if I ever did anything again. But it kind of required Tim to be involved some way or another."

Keaton concluded in the interview:

"Without giving too much away we've talked to each other, and e-mailed each other, and if he's in, it's going to be hard not to be in."

Writer, Seth Grahame-Smith the scribe for Tim Burton's Dark Shadows, has reportedly been milling out a script since 2012. And, with the way Keaton is talking, Beetlejuice 2 is looking more and more likely.

This is basically Christmas and Halloween wrapped in one big ball of excellent news. Happy Tuesday, everyone.
