August: Osage County picked up four awards at the Capri Hollywood Film Festival yesterday.

The film, which stars Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep, won Film of the Year and Best Ensemble while Streep took away the award for Best Actress. Chris Cooper also took away the festival's Lifetime Achievement Award.

August: Osage County is out on the 24th January and according to IMDB follows 'the lives of the strong-willed women of the Weston family, whose paths have diverged until a family crisis brings them back to the Oklahoma house they grew up in, and to the dysfunctional woman who raised them.'

Films that win at the Capri are usually a forerunner at the Oscars, as officials at the Capri film Festival have a knack for choosing the Best Film Oscar winner. The Artist, The King's Speech and Slumdog Millionaire were all awarded by the Capri festival in the past and went onto win big at the Oscars too. So does this mean August Osage county will take away the highly coveted award this year?
