'Aquaman' has now surpassed the box office take of Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight', and is on track to pass 'The Dark Knight Rises' as the highest-grossing DC movie so far.

Per the latest results, 'Aquaman' now has a worldwide total of $1.020 billion, firing past 'The Dark Knight' and its $1.004 billion from 2008. Given its current trajectory, it now seems likely that it'll surpass 'The Dark Knight Rises' and its $1.084 billion by this time next week.

In the US, 'Aquaman' only had a 23.2% drop in box office earnings on its second weekend, and while it may have dropped from 4,184 theatres to 3,863 theatres on its fourth weekend, it's still performing extremely well and will likely continue to do so.

Of course, the major earner for 'Aquaman' has been the international box office, with China being the largest market so far. As of last week, the movie has made $284 million in China alone, accounting for over 38.7% of its non-US box office. Here in Ireland, 'Aquaman' has made €1.318 million and has managed to stay within the Top 5 of the Irish box office for the past four weeks.
