Producer Lauren Shuler Donner has been speaking about another possible X-Men spinoff, as the highly publicised release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine nears. The film is called X-Men: First Class and Gossip Girl creator Josh Schwartz penned the script: "It is the first class of Xavier's school, way back when, so it's young Scott, young Jean, young Beast and that'll be really fun. I think (the plan) is to follow some of the characters into their own stories, and weave them back into the X-Men world." So, basically what Donner is saying is they're going to milk this cow to within an inch of dehydration, when the grosses finally go down. While many expected the fallout over the Wolverine leak to hurt the box-office, it could actually turn in favour of the film, as tracking is showing that 70% of ticket buyers are planning on seeing the film. Just how many then go off and tell their friends its utter shite remains to be seen, though...
