Al Pacino has been on a bit of a career downward spiral of late, with roles in 88 Minutes and Righteous Kill flopping, and leaving critics loudly pondering if the great thespian had lost "it". Well, Al must've been listening to them, because he's just signed up to play notorious French midget Napoleon in a new production from The Painted Veil director John Curran. Film will apparently centre on Napoleon towards the end of his life, when he was banished to St. Helena. While there, he formed an unlikely friendship with English schoolgirl Betsy Balcombe. Pacino is also playing King Lear in another production that is currently shooting, so the great man obviously wants to remind us just how fantastic an actor he is - lets hope he does just that.
