Paul Giamatti and, recent Oscar nominee, Amy Adams are both in talks to join the cast of Adam Shankman's adaptation of Broadway musical, Rock of Ages says Darkhorizons.com by way of About.com.
Tom Cruise is headlining the film, which centres on two people who meet at the Sunset Strip club Rock of Ages and fall for one another against the backdrop of '80s rock anthems. Adams would play the music reporter role initially linked to Anne Hathaway, while Giamatti may be a record executive.
Mary J. Blige, (Dancing with the Stars dancer) Julianne Hough and Alec Baldwin also star in the intriguing sounding musical.
