Adam Driver is one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation, and the prospect of the Oscar nominee teaming up with a legend in the form of Michael Mann is enough to get any cinephiles engines going.

The first look of Driver as Enzo Ferrari has been released, and Driver has vanished into the role of the Italian car maker.

Driver was cast in Mann's new film earlier this year, with production well underway in Italy.

The 'Star Wars' and 'Annette' actor is no stranger to playing Italians, with the star appearing in Ridley Scott's terrifically gaudy drama 'House Of Gucci' last year.

In classic Mann fashion, 'Ferrari' has assembled a star-studded cast, with the likes of Penélope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Patrick Dempsey and Jack O'Connell starring alongside Driver.

'Ferrari' has been Mann's passion project for many years, with the 2019 Oscar-nominated drama 'Ford vs. Ferrari' being borne out of a previous attempt by Mann to tell the story of the iconic car maker.

The first official look shows a typical Mann scene: a man under pressure while the world conspires against him.

'Ferrari' will follow the car maker as he gears up for a vital racing competition in 1957 that will determine the fate of the iconic Italian car maker.

Filming began in August for Mann's first film since 2015's 'Blackhat', with the film due for release in late 2023.

Driver will next be seen on our screens in Noah Baumbach's Oscar-tipped black comedy 'White Noise', with the film hitting Netflix this December.
