It's happened. We can all admit it. "Are you crying?" - "F*ck you." "Yep, you're crying."

5. ROAD TO PERDITION / "I'm glad it's you."

This film is all about pacing and music. If you've never seen Road To Perdition, then definitely don't watch this clip because it'll ruin the entire film for you. The look of Paul Newman's face when he turns to see Tom Hanks approaching him, gun in hand. And that line. Mmf.

4. TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY / "I cannot self-terminate."

Arnold Schwarzenegger is so tough, he has to be dropped into molten metal in order to be killed. It's the thumbs up that makes it, really.

3. HEAT / "Told you I'm never going back."

This received honourable mention in our 10 Best Fight Sequences, but we also think it's pretty emotional as well. Robert DeNiro's character, Neil McAuley, is being hunted relentlessly by Al Pacino's Vincent Hanna. Chasing him into an airport runway, the two are scoping out one another in the dead of night. But it's the bit right at the end that makes it. McAuley, who has lived a lonesome existence, reaches out his hand to his enemy in respect.

2. 25th Hour / "Every man, woman and child alive should see the desert."

This film is a little bit corny in places, but the ending perfectly completes it. Ed Norton, a drug-dealer, is enjoying his final night of freedom before being sent to prison. His father, Brian Cox, is driving him the night after and they decide to take a detour. Giving his son advice, Norton's life plays out over a brilliant soundtrack. Not a dry eye in the house.

1. UP / "Adventure is out there!"

This scene is actually like a Captcha for human emotion. If you don't well up watching this, you're a robot. Simple as.
