Perhaps more exciting than the re-casting of Batman, ever since Christian Bale hung up his cowl only to be picked up again by the sqeaky clean Ben Affleck, is the forthcoming casting of Wonder Woman.

We've long mused about who might fill those pleathery panty-hoes, but now it seems a shortlist of actresses has come to the fore. Recently there were rumours that Jaimie Alexander (of Thor fame) may be up for the role. You may remember her as that wan with her vagina all but on show (no, not Miley Cyrus) at the Thor: The Dark World premiere in LA. Seriously, good thing she'd clearly just been to the waxer for that dress, there's not a single short and curly you'd get away with for that ensemble.

Anyhoo, I digress. Apparently though these were indeed just rumours and Jaimie and her vag have since been ruled out due to a conflict of interests with rival company Marvel. Anne Hathaway, on the other hand, looks like a potential goer. She already impressed us (well, she was a bit annoying mostly because we just find her annoying in general but that's not to say she didn't work that catsuit like she was doing it a favour) in The Dark Knight Rises so at least we know she's already in the superhero mindframe. What's more, she's already been recruited by the folk at Warner Bros, she's since been inaugurated into Chris Nolan's cool gang and she's now the proud (weepy) owner of an Oscar.

Over the weekend just gone, casting notices went out seeking a "tall, brunette, athletic and exotic" actress to play a "physically strong" character and love interest to Ben Affleck's Batman.

Bond girl Olga Kurylenko's also said to be vying for the role. She was grand in her last outing opposite Tom Cruise (Oblivion) but we're not quite sure she's got enough on screen charisma to play the strong female ass-kicking type. Perhaps though it's her damsel-in-distress-esque performance in Oblivion is giving us that impression.

Fast & Furious actress Gal Gadot is another actress to fit the description and this is one casting we'd actually get behind. She's not enough of a big name for us to build enormously high expectations upon, and we suspect she'd come out guns blazing, to prove that she's got the chops to hold her own in the big leagues.

Wouldn't it be nice to see them go for someone other than the standard top 10 actresses in Hollywood? Give someone else a chance to do their thang?

So of these four ladies, who'd get your vote?
