Following news yesterday that Dwayne Johnson and his whole family tested positive for coronavirus, another A-lister has contracted COVID-19.
Actor Robert Pattinson has tested positive for coronavirus, according to multiple reports. As a result 'The Batman', which had only resumed shooting recently, has shut down production.
Principal photography for 'The Batman' began in London and Glasgow in January of this year.
However it was put on hold in March when the COVID-19 pandemic swept the globe.
Production recommenced on September 1st so they were only days into shooting when this misfortune struck.
It has not been disclosed who was infected or how they caught the virus.
Robert Pattinson's representatives have not offered a comment.
The latest outing for the Batman had been set for release on June 25, 2021 but it has since been pushed back to October 1, 2021.
Aside from Pattinson, the cast also includes Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis and Barry Keoghan.
The first teaser for 'The Batman' dropped in recent weeks.
Other major studio productions that have been recommenced shooting in recent weeks include 'Jurassic World: Dominion' and the 'Avatar' sequels.
After 'Mission Impossible 7' was struck with an on-set accident causing more delays, Tom Cruise reportedly took extreme measures to avoid any more hold-ups.
