The movie is said to be set in the 1950s and centres on a 12-year-old boy who works on the MGM Lot and imagines striking up a friendship with Gene Kelly while working on his latest film.
Kelly is best known as the star and co-director of 'Singin' in the Rain'.
Other major credits across his career included 'An American in Paris', 'Anchors Aweigh', 'On the Town', 'Three Musketeers' and 'Brigadoon'.
In spite being done (for now) with the MCU, Chris Evans has a busy 2022 ahead of him.
