Released around the same time as the brilliant F1 2010, WRC – FIA World Rally Championship, fails to live up to Codemasters re-imagining of F1, but what WRC brings to the track is a somewhat decent racer but something that falls well short of its faster and more glamorous alternative.

All teams and drivers are available, with a staggering 78 courses to skid and slide around. Many offer different experiences, with surfaces ranging from ice to gravel, some demanding more attention to others – the ice floored surfaces of Finland being just one. Veterans of the genre will know these games handle far differently than other racers, and WRC's greatest strength is in its realistic handling one feels when guiding these supped-up behemoths around the sports famous locations.

Unfortunatley game-modes themselves are a bit limited, with the real bulk of the title committed to its somewhat underwhelming career mode. Visuals also fail to impress, and are overshadowed by the gloss provided in F1 2010.

For devotees only.
