Although it is stated in the trailer, it really is true - Batman: Arkham City and Arkham Asylum were two of the best superhero games ever created.

There hasn't been a game before or since that actually made you feel like you were Batman; skulking around dark corners, picking off enemies from above or even landing into the middle and taking them on with full force. As well as this, the storytelling that went on in both games was nothing short of incredible.

It's no wonder, of course - Paul Dini, one of the original writers for the fantastic Animated Series, was the writer for both games. Not only that, it also reteamed Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill in their roles as Batman and Joker, respectively.

As we reported some time ago, a current-gen remastering has been in the works for some time and now, at long last, we finally have an official confirmation and a first look. The trailer does, admittedly, show us some updated imagery and graphics. However, it doesn't appear to be showing it in 60fps, which is a shame.

There had been some talk that both Arkham City AND Arkham Asylum would be given a higher framerate, however it looks like that might not be the case. Still, it's Arkham Asylum / City on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 so it's absolutely nothing to be sniffed at.

Take a look and let us know what you think in the comments.
