Winging their way to touch devices everywhere from September 19, the Angry Birds are back with a new Star Wars themed game. This time round, they’ll be focusing on the prequel trilogy and the game will feature over 30 new playable characters including: Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, General Grievous, Darth Maul and Jar Jar Binks (the most annoying character in Star Wars ever transformed into bird form... hurrah!).
New additions include the option to choose sides, new powers and ‘telepods’. Must like the cash cow that is the Spryo Skylanders franchise, this latest offering from Angry Birds will be released alongside a selection of figurines (telepods) representing characters from the Star Wars universe, which can be scanned into the game (or you could just keep your cash and unlock them like any gamer worth his salt).
It has yet to be revealed what platforms Angry Birds Star Wars II will be available on, but realistically, you can expect iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows 8 versions of the game if previous installments are anything to go by.
