A mobile game based on the American version of 'The Office' will launch later this year.

THR reports that Leaf Mobile, Canada’s free-to-play mobile game group and its subsidiary company East Side Games, unveiled the game on Thursday. Its name is 'The Office: Somehow We Manage.'

The game is inspired by the American edition of the hit sitcom which ran for nine seasons between 2005 and 2013.

It is free to play and will allow fans to play through iconic moments in the show.

Players record profits at Dunder Mifflin and earn in-game rewards as they fight to keep the branch going.

Other activities available to players including building desks for their favorite 'The Office' characters.

They can also participate in in-game events to introduce new versions of characters and memorable events (party planning committee anyone?).

Familiar characters who will pop up include Michael Scott (played by Steve Carell), Jim Halpert (John Krasinski), Pem Beesly (Jenna Fishcher) and Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson).

All we're saying is, if they don't incorporate 'Threat Level Midnight' in some capacity, they've missed a huge opportunity.

'The Office: Somehow We Manage' is launching in late 2021.
