This is unashamedly a clone of GTA. In fact, some key aspects of game play seem to have been blatantly lifted directly from the aforementioned. I actually wouldn't be surprised if disgruntled employees from Rockstar were actually the creators of this. But - where the likeness shines through - they seem to be more homage, and where Saints Row deviates from the format it really does make it it's own.

Like GTA, there are bucket loads of razor wit - on the radio, on the television and just listening to people in the street. It also relies on stellar voice talent, like Star Treks Michael Dorn (Warf) and Buffy sex pot, Eliza Dushku (Faith).

But, unlike GTA, this is an actual sequel. Characters return and you play the hero from the first game in the same city. A complete departure for Sandbox games.

Overall, this is bags of fun. It's not GTA 4, but it's up there for sure, and there's tones of world to explore that will keep a gamer going for months.

Possibly too violent in some parts, and its moral compass is far more unstable then its GTA cousin, so definitely not for kids.
