Resident Evil 4 is out a good long while, the reason I am reviewing it now is because I always hated Resident Evil games (there was never any bleedin' ammo) but was convinced to give them another try before the fifth installment came out. Well, this special Wii edition has, I will admit, reignited my curiosity and I now wait with bated breath for the next installment.

RE4 moves the franchise away from familiar territories; if you have played before or seen any of the films you will already be aware of Racoon City and the Umbrella Corporation. Well, this is a new departure, in more ways then one. The action takes place in an undisclosed European backwater, and the zombies are... alive! Just not very friendly.

As survival horrors go, this is more action packed then any of the previous incarnations and delivers a much more interesting storyline involving cover-ups, cults and presidents' daughters. It's like Escape from LA, only good.

The game works perfectly with the wiimote, I only hope this intuitiveness continues in part 5 on the PS3/X360
