The PlayStation Plus titles for April have been announced.
'Hood: Outlaws and Legends' leads the selection of free games for subscribers, with the PVP multiplayer game the main title for PlayStation 5 owners in April.
The game takes place in medieval times and players are tasked with pulling off heists while facing off against rival players.
Released in May 2021, the game didn't have the best reviews ever committed to page, but the multiplayer component could be a big draw for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
'Slay The Spire' was one of 2019's biggest surprise hits, and the deck-building roguelike see players take on an ever-changing set of enemies.
The game encourages players to mix up the cards in the deck to keep them ahead of their foes, and the procedural generated nature of the game makes for strong replay value.
The final game in the pack is the HD remake of 'Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom'.
'SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom — Rehydrated' is a remake of the cult 2003 game, and the platformer has become a firm fan favourite over the years.
The game is a remake in the vein of the 'Destroy All Humans' remake, also published by THQ Nordic, and touches up the 2003 graphics and gameplay for 2020's audiences.
Earlier this week Sony announced plans to dramatically overhaul the PlayStation Plus service, with the classic tier still granting players a few free games every morning and the higher tiers serving as a rival to Xbox's successful Game Pass service.
The PlayStation Plus Premium tier will set users back €120 a year and in return players will get PS3 games available via cloud streaming, a curated catalogue of games from Sony's vast back catalogue and the option to try games before they buy them.
The traditional free games tier will remain, and players will still have access to online games, and will remain at the €60 a year price point.
