Well, loyal reader, I had planned on reviewing Drake's Fortune in this slot; however, due to another fault with my blasted PS3, I was forced to alter my strategy, so a review of DF will be along in the new year. A mighty thank you to the good people at GameStop who have endeavored to help me with my ailing console and a word of caution to you, my gaming pals; keep your receipts, keep the box they come in and keep all the bits and pieces because it can be a flippin' nightmare replacing them. To Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, I say: get the lead out and fix these bugs!

Now to Mario. What a great idea: the boffins at Nintendo have repackaged the original Super Mario Bros. game for the DS. The levels are recognisable, but the graphics have been spruced up and the power ups and enemies have been given a facelift. It is just like the classic game, though.

The original was highly addictive and bags of fun, so a soft touch was needed here - and I am happy to say the levels have not been tampered with too much.

A trip down memory lane for my generation and a great introduction to the franchise for the young 'uns.
