Platform: PSP, RPG
I came across this little gem on a recent bargain hunt. Myst (for those of you who think the 90's is a type of music) is probably the beginning of popular role playing video games.
Yes, the concept was around longer - thick-glassed dice rollers had been hogging classrooms at lunch time for years before - but this was different, this was new. You were the first person, exploring for yourself, using you own eyes to see the world and interacting with the enviroment.
Well, this is not a sequel or a new twist on an old game, this is Myst as it was. The graphics have been updated and it runs a lot faster but it is essentially the same mind boggling game.
The thing is, if you're not a fan of the game, or of retro gaming, then you are going to turn your nose up at this. Go ahead, it is not going to be for everyone. But, if you appreciate the history of gaming and love a REALLY hard mystery, then this is gold and works well on the PSP.
