Since the unbridled success of the Arkham series, including Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and the incredible Arkham Knight, people have been pining for WB Studios to take on Superman.

Despite various Easter eggs, nods, winks and references in almost all of the Arkham games, there looked to be little to no official evidence to support that news. Or has there? Redditor Mercinwithamouth has collected a pretty substantial case of evidence to suggest that WB Studios are currently in pre-production for a Superman game, with an expected announcement set for this year's E3.

It's been well established that WB Montreal are working on two new DC Comics titles and that they've officially confirmed this fact via their website. However, repeated rumours, job listings, supposed leak images and concept art that's spread online seems to suggest with a certain amount of certainty that Superman is happening and that it's happening soon.

As we know, the Arkham series grew out from Christopher Nolan's trilogy and it's likely that the same is planned for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Zack Snyder's DC Cinematic Universe.

Mercinwithamouth's evidence even included a LinkedIn posting by someone who allegedly worked on the game, as well as various pieces of concept art made for the game. There's also plenty of evidence in the various games - Arkham Knight, Arkham Asylum, etc. - that the planned Superman game will feature in the same universe as Batman.

Here's a link to the dossier of evidence for your perusal. We're hoping this one is real because we need a Superman game to help us get over the travesty that was Superman 64.
