The rumour mill's been spinning off about a possible HD remastering of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for quite some time, however we're still no closer to a confirmation as of yet.

The first rumblings came in the form of a leaked cover image for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. As you can see on the cover, it includes - yes, there it is - a HD remastering of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. That image surfaced on Twitter and was then quickly deleted, however another clue came in the form of an image pulled from PlayStation 4's online store which showed - you guessed it - Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

The Call of Duty franchise has been relatively quiet since Black Ops III and it's become an annual franchise, so the release date quoted for Infinite Warfare - November 4th, 2016 - looks to be about right. Again, the rumours have it that Infinite Warfare will be set in the far future, with a much more sci-fi bent than previous entries to the Call of Duty franchise.

However, a HD remastering of the first of the modern-era Call of Duty games has something that fans have been clamouring for many years. Here's hoping this actually comes to be as we're desperate to play through All Ghilled Up again.
