Picture the scene - Christmas Day… the savaged carcass of a turkey is haunting the kitchen, the wine stained tablecloth is now cleared away, and from the living room the rumbling of some long forgotten children's movies is sinking the hearts of the adults, so I say "Hey, who fancies a bash at karaoke!"

This was met with cautious enthusiasm. To get the ball rolling I warbled a rendition of Ring of Fire that would turn almost all dead musicians in their graves. But with the introduction of yet more alcohol the party began to pick up. My 4 year old niece sang "Mercy" eleven times so we decided to kick it up a notch… but there wasn't one. It was notchless!

Lips includes 40 fairly unexciting songs from the last four decades and that's it. You can BUY more on Xbox Live, but to be honest for what you pay for Lips you could rent a Karaoke machine with about 10,000 songs.

I won't say Lips ruined my Christmas, but it has a lot of explaining to do!!!
