The long awaited sequel to the seminal good vs. evil role playing game is finally here and does a lot to impress. But is it all its cracked up to be?
For those of you new to the franchise, Fable is a free roaming quest adventure where decisions you make have dramatic consequences, not only on your quest but on your appearance and on the world around you. Good deeds earn you renown and the love of the people of the world, and make you appear angelic in their eyes. Bad deeds on the other hand make people fear you and appear as a grotesque monster. Interestingly though neither path is the correct one and in order to fully immerse yourself in the world of fable a fine balance must be met.
Now the game itself is wonderful but, and this is a big but, it can be slightly juvenile, interactions with the villagers can literally be fart jokes. Even though in many ways this is superior to Elder Scrolls 4, I couldn't help but feel like this was its dorky younger brother.
An almost perfect follow up with only a few tarnishes.
